201 dead, many trapped in Turkish coal mine
Soma (Turkey), May 14, 2014, AFP:
At least 201 people were killed and hundreds more
remained trapped underground after an explosion at a coal mine in Manisa province, western
Turkey, the government said today, warning that rescue efforts faced a race
against time.
The explosion was believed to
have been triggered by a faulty electrical transformer at around 1230 GMT
Tuesday.
Hundreds of people gathered
around the explosion site as rescuers brought out injured workers, who were
coughing and struggling to breathe due to the dust.
Sena Isbiler, a mother of one of the miners, stood on top of
piles of wood, craning her neck to see who was being led out of the mine.
"I have been waiting for my son since early afternoon," she told AFP.
"I haven't heard anything about him yet."
Arum Unzar, a colleague of the
missing miners said he had lost a friend previously "but this is
enormous."
"All the victims are our friends," he said as he
wept. "We are a family and today that family is devastated. We have had
very little news and when it does come it's very bad," he added.
A hotspot cluster was observed at around 9 hrs UTC in the neighbourhood pointing at the heating up of the mine due to the dam surge:
Total number of fires detected : 16

Note that all these disasters have a common antecedent: a dam surge due to a dam content change accumulated worldwide at the instant to a staggering water pressure head surge of 23 to 24 million Everest heights! Modern civilization’s designers are ignorant of this continuous destructive suicidal phenomenon of cumulative effect of dams on the structures of modern civilization, including the dam itself. Note that this year also the Badrinath Kedarnath area has been hit by giant landslides stopping the Yatra in its tracks. Wake up to the extinction phenomenon inherent in the specialist society based on modern civilization which itself is generically fatally flawed.

for the solution to the predicament of modern civilization. The solution depends on truth which sees the interconnection of all that is. Transcending all is the Unknowable. Base your designs not on the false: Seeing the separate existences apart. Base your designs on true knowledge: To see one changeless life in all the lives, in the separate, the one inseparable.
Enjoy living energy use! Therein lies salvation. Its efficiency is infinity. Because we need not mine -yes mine- the bowels of the earth to energise. Let the extraterrestrial called the sun energise all our existence. The efficiency of energy use will then be infinity! And at zero cost!
